October 14, 2025 Set as National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk
Days before Charlie Kirk’s memorial service, Congress formally honored him with a National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk. The U.S. Senate and House approved a resolution declaring October 14, 2025, his birthday, as “National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.” Led by Sen. Rick Scott, the measure recognized Kirk’s contributions to civic education and public discourse, encouraging schools and citizens nationwide to observe the day. While the resolution passed easily in the Senate, nearly 100 House Democrats refused to support it, and some, including Nancy Pelosi, walked out before the vote. (Source)
